We are looking for PRINCIPAL CLOUD ENGINEER to join our team! As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for all of our production workloads running mostly in Microsoft Azure, but also on premise. Our platform is a one-of-a-kind globally distributed information system that brings together hospitals and labs to provide data ingestion and processing, analysis and modeling, reporting and intelligence, distribution and sharing of a multitude of complex sources of structured and unstructured data, including genomics, imaging, and clinical data, delivered as a multi-tenant SaaS platform on the cloud.

Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES
Cloud engineering for Microsoft Azure
- Responsible for cloud networking design and operations (eg: NSGs, VPN gateways, firewalls, etc.)
- Zero trust implementation
- Compute and storage operations
Kubernetes operations
- Operations of AKS clusters
- Monitoring and alerting
- Operation of CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, deployments.
- Upgrades, performance improvements of Kubernetes clusters.
Observability
- Design and operate our observability infrastructure
- Configure and operate Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, Splunk, ELK and more.
- On premise infrastructure design and maintenance
- Network design and operations for all of the Sophia Genetics locations.
REQUIREMENTS
Education amp; Working Experience
- Bachelor's in computer science or equivalent
- At least 5 years in a similar position
Other Experience amp; Skills
- Can drive for decisions and lead small projects independently
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English, French is an asset (other languages are a plus)
- Customer oriented and success oriented
- Experience working on cloud native development and design in Azure, AWS or GCP
Competencies
- Excellent Linux knowledge.
- Cloud experience required, preferably with Azure.
- Good Kubernetes experience.
- Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Loki, etc.).
- Excellent networking experience, both datacenter and cloud.
- Experience with Automation tools like Ansible or Puppet
- Experience with Terraform or another provisioning tools
