Job Description

D-ploy is an IT and Engineering Solutions company with operations across the EMEA region and the USA. The company is seeking an IT Procurement Specialist to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will have a mid-level expertise in software procurement and general IT service contracts. The IT Procurement Specialist will play a vital role in managing the procurement process for software licenses, IT services, and other technology-related products. This position requires excellent negotiation skills, strong vendor management abilities, and a deep understanding of IT procurement best practices.

Responsibilities:

  1. Software Procurement:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand software requirements and develop procurement strategies.
    • Conduct market research to identify potential software vendors, evaluate their offerings, and make informed recommendations.
    • Manage the end-to-end procurement process for software licenses, including RFx preparation, vendor evaluation, contract negotiation, and license maintenance.
  2. IT Service Contracts:
    • Collaborate with internal departments to identify IT service needs and develop contract requirements.
    • Manage the procurement process for IT service contracts, including contract negotiation, vendor selection, and contract execution.
    • Review and analyze contract terms and conditions, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.
    • Track and monitor vendor performance against contractual obligations, service level agreements (SLAs), and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  3. Vendor Management:
    • Build and maintain relationships with software vendors and IT service providers.
    • Conduct vendor evaluations and performance reviews to ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
    • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with vendors to achieve cost savings and maximize value.
    • Monitor market trends and developments to identify potential new vendors and emerging technologies.
  4. Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to streamline the procurement process, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
    • Develop and implement procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize procurement workflows and systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT procurement, with a focus on software procurement and IT service contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of software licensing models, contract negotiation, and contract management.
  • Familiarity with software asset management principles and tools.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex contract terms and legal documents.
  • Strong vendor management and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Proficient in using procurement software and tools.
  • Knowledge of IT industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Certification in procurement or contract management (e.g., CPM, CPCM) is a plus.
