Context
Following the acquisition of the company by Archimed, the company is seeking to appoint a new Senior Business Developer to strengthen the activity in generics (in hospital) and potentially orphan drugs / specialty care, with the broader objective become a leader in the critical care space. Business Development activities would include Mamp;A, in-licensing or carve out.
The incumbent needs to be very hands-on. He/She will report to CEO and be supported by a team of 3 from Archimed on the scouting or transaction phase.
Specific Responsibilities
The Senior Business Developer Se will have several major missions:
- Lead the Ideation Process for further products to fuel the pipeline.
- Manage Permanent and active scouting for licensing and possible Mamp;A.
- Design and implement a successful and sustainable business development strategy.
- Targeting, identifying and approaching potential partners (resellers, suppliers, technological partners);
- Presenting the project
- Setting high standards and methodology
- Work on market study and data crunching / analysis to drive the scouting. Notably, complete in-depth market research on competitors, market dynamic and trends
- Ensure good communication with the market.
- New products, new assets
- New portfolio or society acquisitions in order to spread the firm’s market footprint or territory.
- Elaborate estimated budgets, after the general direction’s validation, and pick and mobilize an internal project team.
- Build the network with HCP (KOL and LOL) to source idea for new advanced or improved generic products / licensing / Mamp;A, particularly in C Care.
- Manage projects by developing close cross-functional collaborations with Finance, Legal and Ramp;D.
- Coordinating the inputs coming from all concerned internal departments
- Negotiate offers and ensure the good follow up of the missions and report the updates on the various projects
Requirements
Pivotal Experience amp; Expertise
- Extensive track-record of leading business development activities such as Mamp;A and licensing agreements. Involved in scouting, evaluation of opportunities as well as the transaction aspect of the role
- Familiar with the generics space.
- Experience in critical care or at least familiar with the hospital market through specialty care products
- Proven experience of collaborative approach, having worked in an open partnership with team members and other partners, influencing stakeholders at all stages.
