Be part of our mission to disrupt the traditional healthcare model and democratize data driven medicine! SOPHiA GENETICS is looking for a talented QC Lab Technician to join the Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs (QAamp;RA) teams at our headquarters in Rolle, Switzerland.

In their daily task, Lab Technicians prepare all types of analysis for Quality Control Sophia Genetics Bundle solution. They support the laboratory for troubleshooting and technical issues.
They contribute to laboratory management by ensuring compliance with quality control activities.

Quality control activities:

• Prepare NGS libraries using different technologies
• Start NGS sequencing run (e.g. Miseq and NextSeq Illumina sequencer)
• Document experiments on electronic lab book (e.g. Slims, Jira...)
• Demonstrate on library prep and capture in accordance with SG protocols
• Participates in Lab investigation

Laboratory management

• Apply continuous improvement
• Assist with the writing and updates of working instructions and SOP Ensure the laboratory is well stocked and resourced
• Maintain laboratory equipment

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master degree in molecular biology (or equivalent);
• A first relevant experience as a Lab Technician is a great plus;
• Working experiences with nucleic acid assays is mandatory;
• Working experiences with next generation sequencing is is highly recommanded;
• Good communication, written and oral, skills in English. Any other language is an asset.
