We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team, to work on an 80% - 100% basis, remotely in Switzerland, with occasional visits to Geneva for collaborative meetings. Responsibilities:
- Preparation and monitoring of the monthly, quarterly, yearly, and interim closings for legal entities in Switzerland and ensuring proper reporting from our external accountants abroad.
- Maintain AR sub-ledger (incl. booking and preparing invoices, payment entries monitoring).
- Maintain AP sub-ledger (incl. allocating and booking invoices, processing payment runs, and handling travel expense reports).
- General ledger entries, monthly standard entries, balance sheet reconciliation, and cost center reporting.
- Leading of the preparation of the Swiss financial statements, VAT, and other tax reports.
- Involvement in the transition to the new ERP, and knowledge of Oracle Netsuite is a strong advantage.
- Ad hoc projects and some administrative tasks.
Qualifications:
- Accounting degree or brevet fédéral de comptabilité .
- 5-10 years of experience in a similar accounting role within a Swiss-based international SME.
- Fluency in English and French, some conversation level in Spanish as a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of Swiss VAT regulations, payroll, and local financial regulations.
- Proficiency in at least one modern accounting software and Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
