For our IT organization based at our Headquarters in Lausanne, we are looking for a
Systems and Security Administrator
The Systems and Security Administrator is responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing our software, hardware, networks, as well as our Azure cloud environment. This role ensures the security of data, network access, backup systems and oversees the company's cloud computing strategy.
- Install and configure software applications and system management tools.
- Manage network servers (e.g., intrusion detection systems) amp; technology tools.
- Ensure the security of data by establishing network access controls amp; exceptions.
- Monitor performance amp; maintain systems according to requirements including Azure Cloud infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot issues/outages when they arise amp; provide a swift response to system or hardware failures.
- Develop expertise in current computer systems, custom applications/platforms including their integration points with other systems/networks.
- Perform daily backup operations ensuring all required file systems are successfully backed up to appropriate media both on-premises and on Azure Cloud platform
- Participate in disaster recovery planning/testing; perform regular disaster recovery tests in coordination with our Azure environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing Azure cloud environments
- Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role
- Experience with databases, networks (LAN/WAN), patch management
- Knowledge of system security techniques including firewalls/VPN's remote implementation/access control protocols
- Familiarity with various operating system platforms
- Certification as an IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional)
- Strong communication skills to interact with internal stakeholders and vendors
