The Role
Logistics Procurement Manager creates a controlled environment for the Procurement of Logistics Services across EMEA Region balanced between meeting wider organizational objectives, ensuring the highest level of service, and maintaining a cost competitive edge.
Key Responsibilities
- Partners with Legal Team(s) to create Contract Documents for each respective Logistics Category and implements effectively across the EMEA Network.
- Manages and mitigates risks associated with existing and/or new Agreements while identifying both short- and long-term business opportunities.
- Develops and leads negotiation strategies for each Logistics Category in alignment with wider organization objectives.
- Develops long-term Logistics Procurement Strategy considering wider organizational objectives and direction and with a focus on People, Purpose, and Planet.
- Conducts Market Research and builds up appropriate Market Intelligence used for Budgeting and Benchmarking purposes to ensure Cost control and awareness and Competitiveness.
- Creates BCPs for each appropriate Logistics Category and Market.
- Manages relationships with LSPs to implement and track KPIs across Cost, Quality, Service and Value Add and summarizes / reports timely to the Leadership Team.
- Partners with Finance Team(s) and provides financial insights for budgeting, monthly PPV reviews and other key milestones throughout the Business Year.
- Selects a pool of capable LSPs that can keep up with Congo Brands’ Innovation Pipeline focusing on Speed to Market, Competitive COGS and minimal investment into CAPEX.
- Creates a Pipeline of both Cost and Value-Add Projects exceeding COGS Targets and supporting financial needs of future Innovations.
- Collaborates effectively and cross-functionally between both External Parties as well as Internal Stakeholders across Manufacturing, Planning, Operations and Finance.
- Other duties as per business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (a degree in the area of Supply Chain or Procurement is a plus)
- gt; 5 Years of Procurement experience preferably in the area of Logistics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experienced negotiator that communicates effectively alongside different levels of organization
- Project management and cross-functional collaboration
- Team player as well as ability to work individually and independently
- Ability to influence and solve issues effectively
- Agile and capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced and unstructured environment
