The Arrow Resources group of companies is an integrated commodities trading house, actively trading base metals, concentrates, ores, natural gas, LNG, power, crude oil and oil products.
Your Responsibilities
- Anticipate market trends and trading opportunities within but not limited to Sub-Saharan Africa, providing regular updates to the Management.
- Execute and report the full Profit and Loss for the relevant Trading line(s).
- Prepare and execute business plans for new and existing revenue lines.
- Deliver comprehensive research and analysis reports specific to Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Assist with in-house statistics and data analysis.
- Maintain strong relationships with key players in the logistics chain, such as warehouses, labs, and transportation companies, to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Evaluate and present potential Supply Chain Finance (STF) opportunities for concentrates and refined metal miners/producers operating in Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Collaborate, provide support, and actively contribute to global book growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, computer science, or related field.
- Advanced degree (MBA etc) preferred.
- Over 15yrs proven experience trading copper, zinc and base metals internationally.
- Transferable book is a prerequisite.
- Proven experience in trading metals in Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Experience developing battery metals trading business
- Strong business acumen.
- The ability to work well under stress.
- A solid understanding of financial markets.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- The ability to work long hours in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Excellent Knowledge of English
