Complete an internship project at SOPHiA GENETICS whose mission is to build the future of AI-assisted medicine. Joining the Architecture and Technology Innovation team as a Software Development Engineer Junior.

Your mission:

Reporting to the Head of Architecture amp; Innovation, you will work alongside with Cloud Architects to ensure the governance of the company, guidelines and recommendation documented and communicated to the different teams and contributing to enhance the architecture and the different guidelines on Cloud Technologies (Azure).

Location: Rolle, Switzerland

Start date: 2024 April 1st (6 months internship contract)

End date: 2024 September 30th

Schedule: Full time (40 hours/week)

You will be involved in:.

• Document the current status of the architecture in Azure, ensuring it is readable for non-technical staff and strategic decisions can be made through it.
• Participate in the definition of guidelines and cloud policies to align the different teams to follow the same principles, impacting heavily in company profitability and cost saving.
• Understanding end to end business of the solution to be able to identify improvements or solve problems based on customer requests for new functionalities.
• Be part of the team so you can provide guidedance on how the systems works end to end for engineers to help with planning and design activities.

Requirements

The experience you bring

• Cloud Technologies: we are working with Azure native applications, so you will learn how to work in Cloud environments, how to design complex architectures on them and the implications this brings to customers.
• Governance: cloud environments need deep analysis on governance to ensure that everyone in the company use the same standards, therefore you will be part of the team that will review, update and define those rules and implement them (Azure Policies, Runbooks, etc.)

• Design: having a high level overview of the entire company landscape is key to providing the adecuate level of information needed for executives to have a big impact on company strategy. Therefore, you will be part of the team that has that high level vision, but at the same time can go deep into technical details with engineers.
