We are currently looking for an Research Engineer in Computer Architecture to join us on permanent basis in our Zurich Research Center.
Responsibilities
Your role and responsibilities will focus on designing principles and prototypes for next generation computer systems, high computational performance and energy efficiency
As a Research Engineer in Computer Architecture, your job would be highly related to Computer systems design and implementation, embedded software/hardware co-design and co-verification, and performance analysis and tuning.
Being a team-player, you will collaborate with Engineers and Managers from various other technical departments located in diverse regions across the world.
Requirements
Essential requirements
Education
- MSc degree and PhD in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related discipline in computer architecture. This education must be combined with several years of work experience
Work experience, knowledge and skills
- Strong background in Computer Architecture
- Extensive experience in FPGA/ASIC design and experience with ASIC development
- Solid knowledge in SoC (System-on-Chip) hardware/software co-design and co-verification, and microprocessor architectures, such as ARM and RISC-V, is required.
- Knowledge of processor design, accelerators, and memory hierarchies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
- Collaborative work style with the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
Preferred requirements
- Interest in learning new technologies in any area of the stack: Microprocessor, Performance, Compiler, Machine Learning and Data Mining.
- Willingness to work together with different teams around the world.
