6 months Internship: July 2021 - February 2022
Project: Robot control improvements
During the internship, you will be involved in the prototyping, development and potentially design verification of building blocks for a surgical robot control system, on varied research topics such as (but not limited to):
- Modeling, identification of a robotic arm
- Inverse and forward kinematics, singularity avoidance
- End-effector amp; remote center of motion control
- Impedance amp; admittance control
- Collision detection and avoidance
Contributing to design documentation and creating feasibility technical reports is a mandatory part of this internship. This internship may require designing and assembling test fixtures.
You will have the opportunity to perform hands-on work with a ground-breaking surgical robotics system Dexter in a highly regulated environment.
