Be part of our mission to disrupt healthcare and democratize the data driven medicine! SOPHiA is looking for a Senior Associate, Strategic Sourcing to join the FPamp;A team at our Lausanne HQ in Switzerland.
Reporting to the Director of FPamp;A, you will be responsible for working with internal stakeholders to identify suppliers, conducting contract negotiations with selected suppliers, managing implementation and ongoing supplier management, and identifying opportunities to consolidate spend and leverage the existing supply base. This role will focus on meeting the sourcing and contracting needs of SOPHiA globally as the company continues its rapid growth and maturity, playing a key a critical role in SOPHiA’s success.
Your Main Tasks Will Be:
- Collaborate with functional and financial team members to assist in making improvements to current procurement processes and deploy best practices to support business growth
- Find opportunities for achieving cost savings and increasing efficiencies in the supply chain and setting priorities based on stakeholder input, savings potential, and organizational readiness
- Develop innovative tools and optimize outcomes while communicating progress against team goals and objectives. Demonstrate the value of strategic sourcing tools and processes, and create enthusiasm for them
- Support Strategic Sourcing partners by conducting pricing analysis and competitive research on suppliers. Support the delivery of quality, service, innovation, and growth commitments for strategic sourcing
- Build positive relationships with business partners across various functions (e.g., operations, finance, legal, compliance etc.)
- Consolidate and analyze data related to strategic sourcing goals. Develop monthly and quarterly metric reports for management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or related area or equivalent experience (MS degree a plus)
- Minimum 5+ years in procurement and planning experience (ideally on a global basis and in the life science industry)
- Expertise in statistical analysis and problem-solving techniques
- Training in negotiations is desirable
- Lean/Six Sigma practical experience is desirable
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to develop and maintain effective business relationships with leadership and management teams
- Strong financial modeling and writing skills with expertise in MS Office applications and Microsoft Dynamic ERP
- Highly proactive, with a strong work ethic and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
