The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated software quality assurance professional as the lead of our QA team. In this role, you will be leading a growing team of quality assurance developers and testers responsible both for manual and automated testing. Additionally, you will be in close contact with other parts of the Ramp;D team (core product development, site reliability engineering, documentation) and product management to define an efficient and effective quality assurance strategy. In order to be able to fulfill your responsibility for acceptance testing, you will be heavily involved in the requirements engineering and design phases for new features.
A suitable candidate for this role has a strategic mindset but also has hands-on experience in test design and testing methodologies. Quality assurance is a field full of trade-offs; a suitable candidate should be strong in finding the best value solution, leading to real quality gains in the end product.
Responsibilities
- Lead a growing team of quality assurance professionals
- Plan and execute acceptance testing on release candidates and coordinate with the product owner to reach a release decision
- Together with other leaders in Ramp;D, define the overall quality assurance strategy
- Be part of requirements analysis and design
- Define efficient processes and reporting
Requirements
- People management experience
- Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and testing methodologies
- Higher technical education or comparable experience
- Excellent communication skills
- A strong analytical mind
- Fluent in English, German is a plus
- Programming and test automation skills are a plus
