We are looking for exceptional talents to write their Master thesis in the field of data extraction from documents using machine learning and deep learning.

Key activities

• Research of state-of-the-art algorithms for specific information extraction tasks related to documents
• Develop machine learning and deep learning algorithms for image and text extraction from documents
• Evaluate machine learning algorithms using statistical methods
• Make algorithms available for successful deployment into production
• Present findings and share the work to the team during internal knowledge transfers

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Data Science or Mathematics and enrolled in Master study of a leading technical university (e.g ETH, EPFL)
• Strong programming skills: experience, for example, with Python, C# and SQL
• Demonstrated knowledge of conventional and deep machine learning applications
• Bonus skills: experience with current NLP approaches and transformers
• Quick learner with a flair for stable and scalable systems
• Expertise in data structures and algorithms
