Our newly founded Consumer Business Group European Branch Division will play a leading role in researching and bringing technical innovation to next generation consumer products including smartphones, smart wearables, IoT devices, etc. To build up a high level expert team in the Zurich Research Center, we are currently looking for a Consumer Technology Innovation Manager who will be responsible to bring technology opportunities and innovation ideas for our business success.
Ideally, you are currently in a senior technology leadership position within academia, OEM, or start-ups in Europe. You are experienced in technology entrepreneurship and are a resourceful person, who has worked in consumer technology for many years and have developed and maintained a good resource network with the partners in the region. You have demonstrated your capabilities to drive the technical innovation and have successful experience in business collaborations.
Your Responsibilities:
- Identify and report new consumer related technology opportunities and trends in the region, including multimedia, artificial intelligence, sensors, health and sports and/or other related fields.
- Drive and validate the technology innovation by demonstrators, proof-of-concepts, etc. together with technical teams and the partners.
- Build up and maintain strong partnership with academy, industry partners, young start-ups, etc. in the region
- Search and find key resources to address the technical challenges emerged in the business
Requirements
Work experience amp; Professional profile
- 5+ years in consumer related technologies, good knowledge in multimedia, artificial intelligence, sensors, health and sports or others;
- Familiar with the technical resources and the ecosystem in the Swiss region
- Have hands-on experience in technical collaborations with academia, OEMs, start-ups or others.
- Have strong intercultural communication and coordination skills.
Education and soft skills:
- M.Sc. (Eng.) or Ph.D. degree in Physics, or Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Professional fluency in English (written and spoken) and Chinese
- Good skills in technology entrepreneurship
- Good communication and influencing skills.
This is a consultant position for 12 months.
