In your role, you will join us to systematically track and analyze the performance of one of Europe’s largest start-up portfolios, to provide critical data-driven portfolio insights to our teams and keep our investors informed. Moreover you will be involved data evaluation projects as well as in the development of new processes and workstreams that help us to gain efficiency in our operative business.
As a Portfolio amp; Business Development Intern , you will:
- Actively monitor our portfolio of more than 100 Swiss and European start-ups
- Analyze and summarize company developments and progress to communicate the overall portfolio health to our investor base as well as our team, both quantitatively and qualitatively
- Be the first person to know how and where we can help our portfolio companies, where they currently struggle and how we can promote their good work
- Further develop new processes and workflows to manage our increasingly expanding portfolio
- Conduct in-depth data analysis and evaluations of existing workflows in the overall investment team in order to improve processes and increase efficiency
Requirements
- Hold at least a bachelor’s degree (ideally in finance, business, or technical degree)
- High attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
- Willingness and curiosity to dive into the workings of a broad range of start-ups and their industries, working with our cross-company teams to deliver the best services to our portfolio
- Ability to execute independently and autonomously while being a team player at the same time
- Strong people and communication skills - you need to be comfortable as a sparring partner to our internal teams and the portfolio companies, and be able to summarize key information in a clear and insightful way
- Experience in portfolio management for venture capital or private equity is a plus
- Full written and spoken fluency in English, additional languages are a plus
- Starting in June/July for at least 6 months
