Huawei's Switzerland Research Centre in Zurich is responsible for computer architecture research, architecture evolution design, development and verification .
We are looking for an Intern to join our team, which is focused on computer architecture research, development and verification.
Responsibilities
- Literature review studying state of the art; including architectures, design methods and tools, simulation and evaluation tools, and System-on-Chip (SoC) generators
- Developing and analyzing embedded software.
- Using software tools to simulate/generate architectures.
- Editing the tools to simulate/generate customized architectures.
- Evaluating the architectures and optimizing software and hardware.
- Collaborating with other team members.
Requirements
- Experience in embedded systems including software/hardware development, testing, and verification
- Knowledge in computer architectures including microprocessors, memory systems, and on-chip communication
- Knowledge in SoC design
- Proficient programming skills in C/C++
- Knowledge in parallel programming and manycore architectures
- Strong background in algorithmic analysis, as well as performance analysis and optimization
- Demonstrated ability to achieve goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment
- Good cross-regional/-cultural communication and collaboration skills.
- Fluent in English
Useful (non-mandatory) knowledge and skills
- Hardware description languages (VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog, Chisel)
- FPGA and ASIC development
- High-level synthesis
- Hardware modeling (SystemC)
- Python, MATLAB, Scala
- Gem5, Rocket chip generator or any other simulator and SoC generator
- Hardware/software co-design
- Network-on-chip design
- RISC-V ISA and architectures
- German/Chinese /English
