C++/Python Software Engineer

Job Description
We are looking for mid level and senior level C++/Python Software Engineers, to join our team in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Within the Engine Platform team, you will play a key part in the development of a platform integrating innovative technology APIs, which all together will support the final products.
From designing and implementing the platform parts, through the building security of the final product, you will work on a variety of highly technical subjects, bridging the gaps between the Pix4D Ramp;D teams and the customers.
You have a drive for putting things together and seeing them work. You are able to work on the architecture and design, proof-of-concepts, integrations, making the final solutions robust, yet simple. You understand the importance of testing and your definition of done contains unit and integration tests.
Responsibilities
- Integrating solutions from modules, APIs
- Implementing solutions handling large scale processing
- Writing specifications and user documentation
- Optimizing, reorganizing existing complex code base
- Promoting good software engineering practices
- Participate actively in the team and company’s processes
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years full time experience in a similar role
- Knowledge in modern C++ and Python programming, focused on code quality, simplicity and ease of maintenance
- Evidence of contributions in a modern software development life-cycle (API specification, testing, code review)
- Problem solving skills (debugging, code optimization)
- Proficient English language skills (written and spoken)
- Perfect fit with Pix4D’s spirit: passionate, positive, collaborative and respectful attitude
Desirable Knowledge/Exposure
- Packaging C++/python (with cmake, setuptools/disttools.)
- Writing C++ extension modules for python, f.i. pybind11
- Interacting with or developing REST APIs in C++ or Python
- Implementing security and the code protection
- Understanding enterprise architecture fundamentals
