Matternet is hiring an entrepreneurial-minded Business Development professional to oversee key customer accounts and bring the company’s drone delivery service to new markets around Europe. You will partner closely with the Head of Business Development to prioritize new business opportunities and manage them from qualification to close. Leverage your awareness of the European market, including government relations and commercial operations, with Matternet’s expertise to help us continue to transform the way physical items are transported worldwide!
You are a motivated, data-driven self-starter who embraces challenge and is skilled at cultivating relationships with people at all levels. You have an operational mindset, careful planning skills, and detail orientation to see projects through to implementation. You are adept at engaging cross functionally in disciplines including operations, engineering, product - to translate customer needs into requirements, to ensure internal alignment, and to communicate effectively back to partners and customers.
You will
- Manage Matternet’s relationships with European go-to-market partners and customers, driving alignment on strategy, project scoping, and partnership economics
- Review, prioritize, and manage a robust pipeline of leads to drive new business opportunities
- Support the end-to-end deal process including prospecting, relationship development, vetting of customer use cases, business case/model development, project due diligence and definition, contract negotiation and execution
- Spearhead high-value initiatives through detailed project planning and project management
- Establish and report metrics that offer learnings, measure progress and inform future phases of the collaboration, with visibility at both operational and executive management levels of Matternet and its partners
- Utilize your no-fear attitude in white space and ambiguity
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in economics, business administration, finance, accounting or similar
- C1+ fluency in English and German
- Located in Europe and able to travel
- 5-10 years of professional experience in Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, Revenue Management, Government Relations, etc.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience assessing multiple priorities and managing time effectively
- Experience juggling multiple projects simultaneously
