Job Description
A family in Geneva is looking for a Qualified Night Maternity Nurse for a newborn baby boy due to August/September 2021. The family needs the nanny to assist with all baby duties for three months during the night.
Location: Conches, Geneva, Switzerland
Start date: August-September 2021
Hours: Night Nurse from 21h00 to 8h00 in the morning - Days-off to discuss with the family, they are flexible.
Tasks: All baby-related tasks, support during the night.
Language required: Either French or English
What does a night nurse do?
Baby nurses support families in all aspects of newborn care, such as:
- Baby feeding, including bringing the baby to Mom for breastfeeding, preparing bottles and helping with latching on or pumping if needed
- Dealing with baby-specific health issues, like cradle cap, umbilical cord care, diaper rash, reflux and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
- Soothing the baby and encouraging regular sleep habits
- Changing and bathing baby
- Organizing the nursery and doing baby's laundry
- Keeping a log of sleeping, feeding and changing times to help the family develop a schedule
Requirements
At least 3 years experience with newborns
Experience as a maternity nurse with private families
First aid certificate + diploma with newborns / Paediatric area
Warm loving personality
French or English. Russian is a big bonus.
