Job Description
We are looking for a talented Software Engineer iOS (mobile developer) to join our growing team in Lausanne.
Pix4D produces a mobile app that captures images using augmented reality for photogrammetry 3D reconstructions.
You will join an international development team and work on the Pix4Dcatch iOS app implementation following agile methodologies. Your main task will be to use your software engineering expertise to design and develop the software products, and contribute to good software engineering practices in the team.
You’ve learned from direct experience that the most important characteristic of software is maintainability. As such, you strive to keep your code simple, readable and testable. You understand the importance of testing and your definition of done includes proper tests: as close to unit tests as possible. You know that sometimes it makes sense to take on technical debt, but that it is a strategic decision and that it must be paid back immediately after. You are passionate about your craft, you enjoy sharing good practices in pair programming and learning from others.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement mobile applications using augmented reality
- Participate in the design, implementation and maintenance of core software components
- Engage in the full product life cycle, from early concepts and prototypes to deployment
- Write clean, safe and reusable code
- Engage daily in code reviews and promote good software engineering practices
- Actively participate in the team and company’s agile process
- Participate in combined development with teams in various locations
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role
- Previous experience in iOS development with Swift, focused on code quality, simplicity and ease of maintenance
- Good knowledge of modern software engineering principles and techniques: continuous integration, code reviews, test-driven development, refactoring, incremental delivery and version control
- Good analytical, assessment and problem-solving skills and a good sense for user experience and usability
- Experience with ARKit, 3D rendering
- Experience with REST APIs, Combine / RxSwift is a plus
- Experience with Android, C++ and Python is a plus
- Background in GIS, Computer Vision or Machine Learning is a plus
- English language proficiency, written and spoken
