Payments and Monetization is a newly created cross-functional team within Smallpdf's growth organization. The team's mission is to enable Smallpdf customers around the world to pay for Smallpdf conveniently, securely, and using their desired form of payment. The team is also responsible for defining Smallpdf monetization strategy including the definition of different payment plans, support for local currencies, and price localization.

As a Product Manager at Smallpdf, you will develop a strategy, build a roadmap and implement new features to remove friction from the payment process and adapt pricing to the pricing sensitivity of different customer segments. You will lead a small, cross-functional product team including design amp; engineering.


Responsibilities amp; Duties
  • Conduct thorough qualitative and quantitative research to learn and determine the optimal pricing strategy
  • Implement pricing strategies to align price with customer value across different market segments and geographies
  • Actively manage promotions and discount strategies
  • Develop new features and support new payment methods to reduce friction at payment
  • Develop initiatives to manage and reduce fraud
  • Create and implement design concepts together with your product team
  • Translate product strategy into user stories and/or prototypes
  • Prioritize user stories based on the product strategy
  • Track product development

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of hands-on product management experience, incl. 2 years in growth or pricing-related role.
  • Experience building internet technologies and products.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather user requirements from many sources and build a compelling product vision.
  • Ability to analyze large data sets. Strong SQL skills are a must, experience with using Python and Data Science is a plus.
  • Experience setting up A/B tests and using promotions and discounts to determine price sensitivity in different markets.
  • Experience with pricing research models (Conjoint, MaxDiff, Van Wenstendorp, etc.) and pricing strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English, German is not necessary.
  • EU-citizen or valid work permit to work in Switzerland.
