As we further our mission to democratize data-driven medicine worldwide, we are looking for a seasoned and energetic commercial lawyer to join our team as Senior Legal Counsel - Clinical amp; Data Law on a c. 9 Month contract to cover a period of maternity leave. This appointment can be made on an in-office (hybrid 3 Days PW) or in-country remote (with regular office attendance) basis, connected to our offices in Bidart, France or Lausanne, Switzerland.

Your Mission
As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will support the business on a variety of legal matters primarily related to Clinical Trial processes and data protection, with further oversight of business transactions, biopharma and strategic partnerships, Ramp;D projects, IP/IT, procurement and supply chain.
Your Responsibilities
Providing legal support and managing legal aspects of a variety of business projects and transactions involving commercial, biopharma, clinical, IP/IT and data protection matters
Ensure alignment of contracts with business objectives;
Providing support and running in-depth research and providing legal advice on data, healthcare, and commercial law related matters;
Act as subject matter expert and offering legal support to the Risk amp; Compliance team, including on data laws (GDPR, HIPAA) and clinical trial regulations (e.g. EU Clinical Trials Directive law matters and other projects with legal implications;
Tracking developments data and healthcare laws and regulations in countries in which we operate;
Training cross-functional teams on applicable legal requirements;
Requirements
Your background
To succeed in this role, we see you needing knowledge in our domain so you will bring 4-7 Years PQE in commercial and life sciences/healthcare related matters at a medical device, biotechnology or pharmaceutical company and/or law firm supporting such as an essential requirement.
Previous knowledge of supporting a Clinical Trial process and the surround legal regulations
Excellent oral and written communication with full fluency in English, legal drafting and negotiating skills;
Experience in complex transactions related to healthcare and technology, as well as legal expertise in commercial transactions and partnerships is also sought
Qualified Lawyer in Switzerland or France
GDPR Certified Data Protection Officer or other GDPR certification;
