For our Pharmaceutical Development department organization based at our Headquarters in Lausanne, we are looking for a

Supply chain and operations Specialist

Your responsibilities will be but not limited to:

  • Act as primary contact for topics related to demand amp; supply planning process, orders, inventory.
  • Contribute to implementation of demand amp; supply planning process, identification and implementation of associated tools and/or software, and drive process improvement.
  • Facilitate demand and supply review process to ensure continuous product supply. Work with Pharm Dev functional teams (API / DP / CTS) and relevant stakeholders e.g. CMC PL to ensure alignment of drug substance, drug product, IMP demand and supply plans across global Supply Chain for the programs.
  • Contribute to ‘what-if’ scenarios with Pharm Dev functional teams (API / DP / CTS) and relevant stakeholders e.g. CMC PL to proactively identify risks and opportunities. Based on scenario, evaluates predicted inventory levels and targets against defined levels that include safety stock, proactively making adjustments based on factors such as expiry date, retest date, etc.
  • Understand supply performance and risks.
  • Update the inventory plan periodically: provide complete view of inventory context, expected demand, predicted lead times, and overall variability of demand and supply.
  • Provide supply planning attributes to build mid- and long-term supply plan: safety stock, vendor performance, leadtime, etc.
  • Consolidate mid- and long-term supply plan aggregation for all programs with Pharm Dev functional teams (API / DP / CTS). Consolidate associated budget overview and financial adjustment based on assumptions.
  • Coordinate operational activities: management of master data (vendor data, DS/DP item codes), update periodically the valuation of inventories and provide data to relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate logistics activities with relevant stakeholders

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in Supply chain or operations in a pharmaceutical clinical environment
  • Excellent communication skills and strong ability to work cross-functionally
  • Deals confidently with complexity amp; ambiguity in a changing environment and is resilient to resistance with strong influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, understanding development processes, demand and supply planning, quality processes.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in setting up and using the main tools related to supply chain management (ERP, Operation Planning tools,). Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office suite and Excel.
  • Good understanding of customs and VAT regulations
  • Project management skills, outsourcing management
  • English fluent is a must, French is an asset
