About Engineering project Manager position
In this role you will support the manufacturing line ramp up of Distalmotion’s robot and accessories and lead the fast track/repair manufacturing lines projects with our Contract Manufacturing Organization.
Tasks:
- Be responsible of the design transfer and manufacturing in close partnership with contract manufacturers
- Support the ramp up of the Robot and accessories manufacturing
- Be responsible of the change management processes within the manufacturing line
- Lead the fast-track manufacturing line projects in collaboration with our CMO and the Ramp;D
- Lead the refurbishing line of the field robots to bring them to the latest design version at our CMO
- Participate in maintaining technical documentation up to date including Device Master Records (DMR) through a PLM (Product Life cycle) software
- Ensure the Device History Records (DHR) are properly maintained with all Dexter robot configurations from manufacturing
- Ensure compliance with relevant norms and regulations. Establish and maintain appropriate documents and records in compliance with Distalmotion’s QMS.
- Contribute to establishing best practices
- Continuous improvement through process improvements
- Be responsible to implement a Repair Center including process
- Support and follow pilot line at CMO site
Requirements:
- Degree in engineering (microtechnology, robotics, mechanical engineering or equivalent)
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Medical Device
- Proven track record in project management of mechatronics development, technology transfer (From Ramp;D to production) and manufacturing lines follow up
- Experience in multi-disciplinary project management including Supplier and CMO (Contract Manufacturing Organization) coordination
- Proven experience with electromechanical Medical devices (IIa, IIb, III) manufacturing an asset
- Proven experience in project management
- Software requirements: Project planning program needed, basic knowledge of CAD SW (eg. SOLIDWORKS), MS Office, Altium Designer a plus. Any PLM (Product life cycle Management) software a plus
- Knowledge of the ISO 13485. Machinery directive 2006/42/EC a plus
- Versatile, hands-on, solution-oriented
- Strong verbal and written documentation and communication skills
- Fluent in English. French or German a plus
- Open to travel up to 20%, Europe
