Description

We are looking for a strong strategist who has experience in Sales, Marketing, the delivery industry and/or the world of e-commerce. Your role as Strategic Lead: Head of Growth is about providing the insights and tools that allow our Sales and Marketing teams to succeed. We have highly ambitious growth targets and therefore need someone who is hands-on, innovative, a natural leader and ready to make sure that we as Smood have what it takes to get us to the next level. You will play a key role in the success of Smood.


Your role in a nutshell:

  • You will focus on developing strategic plans to grow our consumer base with both end-users (customers) as well as partners (restaurant, grocery, florist and pharmacy owners).
  • You will provide the insights and tools to our small marketing team (currently 3 people) tasked with aggressively growing customer and order numbers, and our growing Sales team (currently around 12 people), tasked with aggressively expanding our geographic territories as well as our service offering (restaurant, grocery, florist and pharmacy).
  • You will assist the teams with an analytical approach to their priority projects - predominantly the cross departmental projects, which overlap between Sales, Marketing and New Business.
  • Your key responsibility will be creating the Strategic Growth Strategy for Smood across Switzerland to unlock opportunities by increasing the number of partners and customers on the platform, maximising order numbers and building long-term business relationships.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Coach and mentor our top performing sales amp; marketing team on best practices
  • Build a scalable growth strategy across services (restaurant, grocery, floristand pharmacy)
  • Work directly with the CEO, the Leadership Team and across multiple departments to unlock growth potential for Smood.
  • Consider market trends, overall business goals, and the competitive landscape to build a high-performance culture. Ongoing market research and competitor analysis to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Ongoing tracking of growth goals and reporting these results to the business.


Are you highly operational, collaborative, and like to get your hands dirty in order to achieve our goal of 40% revenue growth within 12 months? We need someone who understands how to approach problems and grabs opportunities to create real results with their team.

Requirements

What you bring with you:

  • Bachelors or masters degree in Business, Hospitality, Marketing or equivalent
  • 8-10 years of experience. Min 3 years of experience in sales and min 3 years experience in Marketing. Experience in e-commerce would be a plus
  • High level of entrepreneurial spirit, combined with sense of accountability and ethical standards
  • Experience of working as part of a multicultural, multilingual and geographically dispersed team
  • Open-minded, self-starter and can-do approach who thrives with a high degree of autonomy and has an affinity for numbers and analysis
  • Highly motivated, salesperson and marketer who is well networked in Switzerland
  • Ability to drive business growth, meet business objectives, and act as a key spokesperson
  • Tech enthusiast with CRM experience
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English, additional German or Italian would be highly desirable but not mandatory
