Accountant - CH (German Speaking) (15 Month FTC)

Job Profile Summary:Interprets International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) pronouncements. Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues. Prepares general ledger account reconciliations and account balance fluctuation analysis. Prepares standard and specialized financial reports (e.g., balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) according to IFRS. Assists in the preparation of external and internal reporting documents. Assists in training new staff.
Key Responsibilities: • Identify and resolve complex problems. • Interact with senior internal and external personnel. • Use skills as an experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures • Analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections • Adapt and learn and apply professional concepts • Communicate financial information and ideas so others will understand • Propose solutions considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions • Lead special projects from beginning to end and facilitate meetings • Detail oriented • 100% compliance with IFRS • 100% audit compliance • Work product completed in accordance to specifications and deadlines • Ability to solve complex problems
Knowledge:• Strong time management, communications, presentation, and organizational skills. • Detail oriented • ERP Experience is a plus • Advanced knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including IFRS • Spoken and written German language is a requirement for this role
Education:• High school diploma or equivalent • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
Experience:• 6-9 years of professional accounting experience
